If you haven't already heard, a new pizzeria recently opened in Chinatown serving up Neopolitan style pizza complete with an authentic wood-fire oven commissioned by famed third-generation oven builder Steffano Ferrara.
Not only did owners Inthira Marks and Matthew Resich commission their oven in Naples, they also studied under famed Pizzaiolo Enzo Coccia — one of the founding members of the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana, an international nonprofit organization seeking to cultivate the culinary art of preparing Neapolitan pizza — as well as his master dough maker, Davide Bruno. While in Italy, Matt and Inthira also stage'd (interned) at Pizzaria La Notizia 94, one of Enzo Coccia's restaurants showcasing modern flavors and creations using traditional cooking techniques.
Brick Fire Tavern is a must-try, especially for anyone who loves pizza. And let's be honest - who doesn't love pizza?
Brick Fire Tavern is open Monday-Saturday from 11am-2pm & 5pm-10pm.
