Dear members,

At our last Annual Meeting On September 23, 2020, we ended up dreaming about different types of food events for our organization. We remembered our fantastic limoncello demonstration, wished for a simple pasta and sauce virtual class, and shared our tips for the best polpette (meatballs). Then the vision for a cookbook blossomed! .

Therefore, I am pleased to announce that we are now planning a Friends of Italy Society of Hawaii’s Ricettario (cookbook) to celebrate our 30^th Anniversary. We would like to share it with all of you online in mid December as a gift to wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Most of all as a celebration of three decades together in the Friends of Italy Society of Hawaii.

If you would like to participate, we invite all members to email us:

Your favorite authentic dish from Italy. Please note that it must be a dish that people in Italy love eating today; non-authentic recipes cannot be included
One recipe per member only
Written in the English language
Any measurement types are allowed
Preparation must take a maximum of 30 minutes, excluding cooking time
Easy-to-find ingredients only
