Friends of Italy Board Member Carlo Andrea Malanima will lead a 10-week course designed to be an easy introduction to Italian and to "brush up" on your basic knowledge of the language. You will be guided through expressions, grammar and pronunciation step-by-step. This course is based on a beginner's level of language learning. You will learn, for example, how to talk about your job, go shopping, order at a restaurant and ask other questions when traveling in Italy. Learn all the expressions you need, as well as basic grammar and pronunciation. You learn basic vocabulary (adjectives, nouns, adverbs); verbs will be introduced in dialogues, and you will learn how to put your Italian into practice in everyday situations. Homework will be assigned to help you practice your Italian alone when you are at home. You will also learn about the geography of Italy and the most important parts of Italy’s immense cultural heritage. You will also learn how to read Italian signs.
The course will be held on Sundays, beginning Sunday, August 6. The subsequent classes will be held on:
