Talk: This presentation explains the different ways to acquire Italian Citizenship: as a result of Italian ancestors (Juri Sanguinis) or by adoption, parent’s naturalization (only for minors), marriage (or civil partnership), residency, disputing the case in Court (1948 case). Every situation is different, there are unique rules that apply and distinct angles to investigate before assessing your eligibility. The process may take long but is rewarding!

The presenters will give you the tools to embark on the process by yourself; or you can contact them directly for an estimate based on your specific needs. The presenters are from the Italian Institute in Denver, a private and independent company that provides Italy-related professional services at a charge: http://www.italianinstitute.com/.

Presenters:

  • Maria Chiacchio, born in Sicily and raised in Como, is the founder and CEO of the Italian Institute in Denver. She lives between Milano and Denver, where the two offices are.
  • Bettina Holm, raised in Bologna, is the Director of the Citizenship for the Italian Institute in Denver, assisting American people in regaining the Italian Citizenship.
  • Ivana Salerno, raised in Palermo, is the Director of the Language Department for the Italian Institute in Denver, where she is in charge of translations of documents.

ZOOM: Registered members will receive a unique Zoom link the day prior of the event. Please setup your Zoom and familiarize with its features (e.g., join a meeting, configuring audio/video, meeting controls, polling, more topics).
