This presentation features a panel of members who applied for Italian citizenship on their own, without the help of a professional agency. They qualified thanks to their Italian ancestors via jure sanguinis, the Latin term meaning "law of blood." They will share their experience in (a) researching their genealogy and finding the family documents that were needed; (b) processing the translations, notarizations, and apostilles for the needed family documents; (c) making an appointment with the Consulate and uploading the application; (d) receiving the final approvals and becoming an Italian citizen. Come and listen to their lessons learned and tips!
Bettina Holm, Italian Citizenship Expert, will be in attendance and provide guidance during the Q&A session. Raised in Bologna (Italy), Bettina Holm specializes on assisting American people with Italian dual citizenship, passports and residency in Italy. Italian by birth, American by adoption, she is multi-lingual in English, Italian, German, and Spanish, with wide experience in the UK, Germany, Italy, and the US.
