Talk: Italian citizenship: I got it on my own! (Free event!)

  • 24 Feb 2022
  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Honolulu and/or Zoom

This presentation features a panel of members who applied for Italian citizenship on their own, without the help of a professional agency. They qualified thanks to their Italian ancestors via jure sanguinis, the Latin term meaning "law of blood." They will share their experience in (a) researching their genealogy and finding the family documents that were needed; (b) processing the translations, notarizations, and apostilles for the needed family documents; (c) making an appointment with the Consulate and uploading the application; (d) receiving the final approvals and becoming an Italian citizen. Come and listen to their lessons learned and tips!

Location: In person in Honolulu with also a Zoom option, if allowed; otherwise, we'll remain on Zoom only.

RSVP by February 17th: Registered guests will receive an email with address and Zoom link a week prior to the event.

Safety policy: All guests will comply with the latest guidance for group gatherings.
